Sales Manager – United Kingdom & Ireland (Medical Devices Business Unit)

Job Summary

Reporting into the Head of Sales, you will be responsible for United Kingdom and Ireland YouMed Medical Devices sales activities. The role will include direct sales in key accounts and KOL network management and development whilst offering direction to the business development team reporting into this position. As UK & Ireland Sales Manager, your negotiation skills are key. You will be expected to identify and create agreements, identify the most profitable markets and develop strategies whilst engaging your team’s activities to yield the best ROI and ensure that you are gaining the highest level of revenue for the business.

Main duties and responsibilities

• Leading the creation of a sales strategy & tactics in order to identify the right markets with the right distributors to deliver budgeted sales, drive the sales pipeline and ensure revenue growth

• Effectively planning, analysing and managing performance of key channel relationships

• Work with Marketing to develop materials to competitively position the products in chosen markets

• Work with after-sales to ensuring maximum support for customers

• Work with regulatory and marketing teams to manage new product launches and new markets

• Work with Customer Services/Sales order management to ensure timely and accurate delivery

• Work with Internal Sales team to structure account management to maximise coverage of UK sales accounts.

• Ensure visibility around terms, pricing and discounts, ensuring prices are agreed with customers, key accounts and partners and the organisation is aware of these agreements

• Supply forecasts and outlooks as and when required

• Actively support customers and sales team in the field, at conferences, training events and sales meetings with sales and technical assistance Qualifications and experience required

Skills and Experience

• Degree level qualification or equivalent in relevant field

• Strong experience in UK & Ireland sales and/or distributor management with a proven track record in achieving profitable sales growth with key accounts

• Good understanding of the Medical Device markets

• Experience of selling to and managing Key Accounts

• Strong negotiation and communication skills

• Capable of influencing people internally and externally

• Strong Team Player

• Cultural awareness

• Able to make decision independently when required

• Self-motivated and driven

Other requirements

• Willingness to travel extensively throughout the Region
